Client: Society for Marketing Professional Services
Project: SMPS celebrates its 50th anniversary with a heartfelt video that honored its history, founding members, and lasting impact

Situation
When the Society for Marketing Professional Services hit their 50th anniversary, they wanted more than just another corporate video. They needed something that would honor their founding members, celebrate half a century of growth, and connect with their 58 chapters spread across the US and Canada.
The challenge? Their key voices were scattered from coast to coast, including founding member Andy Zinsmeyer, and five decades of history doesn't organize itself into a compelling story.
Task
We treated this like the important milestone it was. Our team coordinated shoots on both coasts to capture authentic testimonials from the people who built SMPS into what it is today. Meanwhile, we dove deep into their archives—old photos, newsletters, publications, and artifacts that told the real story of how this organization came together and stayed true to its mission for 50 years.
The magic happened in weaving these elements together. We didn't just create a timeline; we crafted a narrative that would resonate with both longtime members who lived through the history and newer members discovering it for the first time.

Action
The final video launched on SMPS's website and YouTube channel, giving all 58 chapters instant access to their shared history. More importantly, it became a piece of their legacy—something they can use for years to come when introducing new members, celebrating at events, or simply reminding themselves why they do what they do.
Despite the logistical complexity of coordinating shoots across the country and managing decades of archival material, we delivered a video that captures both the heart of SMPS's story and the professionalism their members expect.

Result
Sometimes the best projects are the ones where you get to preserve something meaningful. SMPS trusted us with 50 years of their history, and we made sure that story would be told right—not just for today's members, but for the next 50 years of leaders who will build on this foundation.
